If you're a gamer, especially a fan of RPGs, Final Fantasy VII - Crisis Core has been on your mind for quite a while.

Well just in case you forgot, this much awaited game is finally here. Square Enix has made a prequel to one of the many sequels. If that sounds confusing it is because I've done it on purpose. Now let me clarify the riddle.

While some people may not consider Final Fantasy VII the best Final Fantasy ever created, other people, including myself, looked at Final Fantasy VII as Squaresoft's masterpiece. When Final Fantasy VII was released, Squaresoft was not merged with Enix. Final Fantasy VII - Crisis Core is a collaboration of the merger of these two companies.

As a reviewer, many games have managed to crawl on my desk, but only a few have managed to acquire a spot on my shelf. Despite the years, Final Fantasy VII has retained its spot among the rest of my favorites. I almost feel like a traitor now that I picked up a copy of Final Fantasy VII - Crisis Core. But new times call for new measures, so without any further delay, I'm gonna put down this review and go check out Zack's story. Either good or bad, I will certainly play FF VII once I'm done with Crisis Core.
