There has always been a balance between good and bad, the forces of evil and the forces of light, between Cosmos and Chaos.

Cosmos, the goddess of harmony is in constant struggle with Chaos, the god of discord. The previously existing balance between the two gods is being tipped in favor of Chaos by the power of the warriors fighting under him.

Chaos is endangering the fabric of reality itself and the defeated side of light will almost certainly fall in despair and total darkness unless the last ten surviving warriors can restore the light. Each warrior has a unique path, a unique storyline and a unique understanding of things to come. Each remaining hero is entrusted with recovering a crystal of light. With all the crystals restored, Cosmos might be able to recover enough of her strength and restore light and peace to the world. Here's our chance to return some of our favorite heroes to their formal glory and once again, swing a very, very big sword; yes, I'm talking about Cloud. Ten heroes, ten unique stories and ten links to the past finally uniting them all under one realm is what Dissidia is all about.
