As you can imagine, Rock Band's Unplugged greatest asset is the music. The graphics are not bad at all, but the music totally rocks.

The song selection in Rock Band Unplugged is outstanding, but that's not the greatest quality when it comes to the sound in this video game. The way that the songs function with the instruments and the way that you play is what is truly phenomenal about Harmonix's Rock Band Unplugged. Although this section is about the sound as much as the graphics, in this game's case, I have to examine and talk about the game's sound under the 'Gameplay and Controls' section of the review. What I will do instead, is following this section, you will find a complete list of all the songs featured in this game.

As for the graphics, the best aspect to the graphics are also one of the worst. I'm speaking about the band member renderings. The great part about the band members is the ability to customize their visual appearance in the area of hair and clothing. Harmonix put forth the effort of giving us a wide variety to chose from. However, while the band members are not rendered bad, they are not as sharply rendered as I would have liked. You can also edit each band member's height and weight. While changing the height looks just about right, when it comes to adjusting the weight, instead of the slider going from skinny to fat as most games do, in Rock Band Unplugged, the slider takes your band member from anorexic to healthy. But on a realistic note, many band members have problems with uppers like caffeine so that's why they're so skinny and cracked out looking all the time. As for the shows, you get to take your band through 24 different cities and venues; that's a lot of turf to cover and it all looks different. For example, if you play in Austin, you're going to play on a western-style stage with the map of Texas in the background and the Lone Star state flag all around the stage. There's even a mounted Longhorn on one of the walls. But it is really, really hard to pay attention to the stage and your musicians during a show. The notes scroll down so fast where you can't really take your eyes off of them. Even on the easiest difficulty where for the most part you only have to play just two notes, the scrolling is still too fast to really enjoy the background. But the background is there and through my screenshots I was able to appreciate and enjoy it. And it also made some cool looking backgrounds for my PSP.
