I’m not going to lie to you; while there are some minor differences when it comes to both the sound and the graphic aspects of Lego Batman compared to the rest of the Lego series, the differences are minor and they are game specific. As far as I can tell, for the most part, there are no new sounds and the graphics look almost identical to Lego Star Wars or Lego Indiana Jones.

From the sound perspective, the only real noticeable difference in Lego Batman compared to the other Lego games is the Batman theme song and the very distinguishable Joker laugh. Besides that, the sound in Lego Batman is about identical in quality with the rest of the Lego games, and if I’m not mistaken, some of the actual sounds are borrowed from the previous Lego games. Saying that, now let me say this: for the game’s design, genre and the outcome that the programmers desired, Lego Batman sounds great. Just don’t expect something extraordinary or fancy such as voice acting. The sound, just like the graphics caters to kids or the true fans of either the series or Lego.

Just as the sound is nothing new to the world of Lego video games, neither are the graphics. First of all I would like to point out the blocky appearance of Lego pieces; yes, the game is very blocky, but it does justice to the Lego world. Even though the graphics in Lego Batman are the on the same level and quality compared to the other Lego titles they do look completely different; the graphic skins and the colors and level designs have been adjusted to fit in the world of Batman. While Lego Batman offers nothing new when it comes to the game’s graphics, it is a solid build game and if you’re a fan of either Batman or Lego you will find the graphics amusing, comical and fresh.
