Usually I cover the game features in the Gameplay and Controls section of the review, but do the this game’s design I thought it would make more sense to put the game features in a section of their own.

Singleplayer – The only difference between multiplayer and singleplayer is the fact that in single player mode you compete against your previous score where as in multiplayer mode you compete against your friends (possibly your arch-nemesis). In single player mode you do not get to select the level of difficulty. The game starts out with the really easy questions and as you move through the rounds the game gets tougher.

Multiplayer – While the single player aspect of Buzz Master Quiz is not bad per say, the multiplayer aspect on the other hand absolutely rocks. Pass Around is probably the easiest and most popular mode of the game. In Pass Around, after each player is selected, Buzz shuffles the playing order and the game begins. As each person completes their question or series of questions, the game indicates who the next player is. Each player answers their questions and when done they pass the PSP to the next player. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. It is that simple.

In Quiz Host you get to replace Buzz; the hosting is now up to you. Playing the host means having responsibilities. Not only do you have to read each question clearly, but you also have to disperse the points fairly. The X button adds 50 points while the O button deducts 50 points. Quiz Host opens up a new world of possibilities. For example, since you are responsible for the scoring you can make up any scoring rules that you like. Maybe that annoying guest screams out random answers just to be annoying. Why penalize him 50 points when you penalize him 500? At the same time, 50 points for a correct answer seems really low. Just to make the numbers seem nicer you can always award 100 points for every correct answer. The entire aspect of the scoring is left entirely up to you. Keep one thing in mind though, giving extra points to your girlfriend may go unnoticed at first, but if you do get caught (and sooner or later you will), you will almost certainly never be allowed to host a game show ever again. Buzz Master Quiz even allows for Game Sharing. Under Game Sharing, 3 PSP can be connected to the game at the same time. Once all the players are in, the host selects the difficulty level and the number of questions ranging from 10 to 50. Any or all of the 8 categories can also be selected; the categories determine what kind of questions the game will ask you.
