Hey! I’m not gonna lie to ya. I’m not the biggest fan of golf. There, I’ve said it.
Maybe I have been hanging out with the wrong crowd, or maybe I was born just too violent (I like contact sports), but golf is just too slow for me; at least on TV. So why am I going to review Tiger Woods 09? The answer is very simple: I take my job seriously.
I went to Game Stop with the purpose of trading in an old PSP game for another. Since I was in no rush, browsing the PSP section turned out to be about an hour’s affair. While I was there, out of the five sales that I was aware of, two of them happened to be Tiger’s game. That got me thinking … EA does not like to take a loss; they’re all about profit, and since EA pretty much owns NASCAR, the NFL and a good majority of soccer, maybe it is time to see what EA and golf are all about.
Tiger Woods is not new to golf, nor is he new to advertising and having his own line of products. As a matter of fact, earlier today, I had a sip of Tiger Woods (I got me a Cool Fusion Tiger Gatorade at the store; I was thirsty). So the question that I am curious about is whether Tiger’s golf game is as cool and refreshing as the sports drink that I enjoyed earlier today. For a forty dollar game, it better be cool; and refreshing; and entertaining. If it is not, you guys will be the first to know. Now, without trying to sound rude or sarcastic, I wonder if they have injuries in this game. Personally, I’m still amazed by the outcome of Tiger’s last tournament. Will Tiger ever be the same again? Hopefully in this game he will.
