Metal Gear Solid fans that have gotten their fill of the single player game can put their skills to the test online. My only real complaint with the multiplayer is that you have to register so many places just to play.

First you'll need your PSN login, and then you'll have to register a Konami ID. Once you have that, you'll need to register a Metal Gear Online account. Then, once you have done all of this, you will finally be able to play.

That minor annoyance aside, the multiplayer is spectacular. There are many different modes of play. The standards are here, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Base Capture style games, and Sneaking game. In the Sneaking game, one player controls Snake, and must get him to the target location before he is found and killed. Snake will have skills the others do not, such as OctoCamo so he can blend into his environment. Needless to say, these modes can keep you occupied well past when you should be in bed for work.
