The storyline is the only feature of single player mode, but don't let that deter you from picking up a copy of Turok..
Turok's story starts fast and slow at the same time. Let me shed some light on that comment. As soon as you start the single player mode, your story begins. You're a soldier traveling through space to another planet to capture a rogue terrorist. To make matters worse, nobody trusts you and with good reason. You used to be a member of Wolfpack (once a military unit) before they went rogue themselves.
Your adventures go from bad to worse, as your ship crash-lands on a dinosaur infested planet that is also the new home-base for Kane and his legendary Wolfpack. Even though the story starts immediately, the action takes a few minutes to catch up. As soon as you pick up your first weapon, you won't have a moment's breath to set it back down. The action is non-stop. Between Kane's goons and the hungry dinosaurs you have your work cut out for you.
The further you step inside the heart of darkness, the more misery you encounter. Dinosaurs and gun-crazed mercenaries will seem like a piece of cake compared with some of the other creatures you will encounter and on top of everything else, people around you keep on dying. Coincidence? Maybe not or maybe so. The rest of your team is convinced that you're the traitor. Are you? I'm not going to spoil this release for you. If you want to know the end you'll just have to play for yourself. The only thing I'm going to suggest is to not drink coffee or energy drinks when playing this game or you might end up giving yourself a heart attack; don't say I didn't warn you.
