Well I don't know what's weirder, EA releasing two games in one day, or me actually having the nerve to purchase two EA games in one day.

But for many years now I've been a huge fan of the SimCity and Need for Speed series, so I was more then willing to take a chance. EA didn't cheap out (as they usually do) in NFS - ProStreet, so I have high hopes that SimCity will be a masterpiece as well.

SimCity was an innovating masterpiece and it is the game that probably more than any other game launched off the infatuation with tycoon/sim type games. SimCity II was pure greatness, then after that, the series started going downhill. Maybe the downhill factor was just coincidence, or maybe the switch from Maxis to EA had something to do with it. But I believe in change, and if EA can release an amazing racing game, then maybe SimCity Societies will rescue a falling SimCity franchise. It's time to find out.
