In 2000, a game known as Soldier of Fortune was released. This game sported some of the best damage models out there. It made blowing off your enemy's hand a real pleasure.

Two years later the sequel, Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix was released. This was every bit as fun as the original, and updated the graphics a bit. Both these titles were made by the same developer.

Five years after the second title and a change of developers and we have the third Soldier of Fortune game. The developer is now Cauldron instead of Ravensoft, but can they do the series justice? Read on to find out how Payback stands up to the rest of the series.
