There's no doubt about it, Crysis has some of the best graphics the PC has to offer, if not the best out there right now. As you trek around this island, you'll be taken in by breathtaking scenery.

Everything about the characters is well detailed; adding to the realism and making the characters around you seem all the more lifelike. The animations are simply amazing in every way.

I can't even stress that enough, from the first moment you see a character talk, you'll be amazed. Their lips may not match up perfect with the talking, but it is convincing enough for a video game.

Watching them walk is amazing as well; the legs seem to really work with the terrain that they are on. What I mean is when standing on a slant the legs will be positioned as such, not just hovering in the air on fake flat ground.

The only real downside here is that even on a high end system you aren't going to be setting the graphics to very high, at least not yet. Crysis is one of the most physically demanding games currently available, so make sure you have a good rig to play it on.

Using DirectX 10 this game can draw some truly convincing smoke and fire. Want to see something that looks great? Toss a grenade up under a truck and watch the ensuing explosion. You'll see the DirectX 10 really shine in all its glory.

The sounds are every bit as good as the graphics as well. They are nice and crisp, but they still can't draw away from the simply beautiful graphics this game offers. It would be truly a feat if the sound had.

Everything about the sound seems in place, and sound is very vital to knowing what is going on. A good surround system is a must to really get the most out of Crysis. Go and grab one and your ears will thank you as your gameplay experience improves.

The only real problem I have with the sounds is that the Korean military seems to yell orders back and forth to each other in English. Not English with a strong accent either. It's as if the entire military grew up in the USA. I guess the fact that my major complaints are nitpicks says a lot for the quality of the audio and visuals that this game has to offer.
