Sound, it most certainly has some. Some games, especially in the racing or sports genre, are not sound focused. I would not be
surprised if Race 07 used some of the sounds from its predecessors (when the cars matched).
Once you make the virtual BMW sound like an actual BMW then the sound team has done its job and can go home. Race 07 sounds good as a game, but
either the soundtrack or the lack of voices just makes me want a bit more. Overall, the game has good sound, it just could have had a bit more spark
to it - it sounds kind of yesterday-ish.
When
it comes to graphics, Race 07 is not afraid to raise its hand and say "pick me, pick me." The game looks pretty. As a matter of fact, the game
looks great.
With every option on the highest detail, my ASUS 8600 GTS video card handled this game with great ease and smoothness. The cars look great, the
weather is amazing, and even the tracks and ambient world have their charm.
But the most impressive factor of Race 07 is the visual effects when it comes to car damage. Half the fun of this game is driving dangerously and
getting some good wrecks in. The cars crumple beautifully.
