If you are expecting a storyline from Race 07 then you are looking at the wrong racing video game. Race 07 is the official WTCC game. The WTCC is the World Touring Car Championship.

The game comes with many driving modes, races and championships, but the game does not have a traditional storyline with a developing main character and idea. Race 07 took the theory of Ockham's Razor to a new level: if it had nothing to do with racing it got carved out of the game.

Depending on your viewpoint in regard to racing games the lack of storyline can either be a great or a terrible thing. Personally I like it. I don't have to beat out the game to unlock the car that I want to drive and I don't have to race the same track 100 times to be able to afford a new car and upgrades.

On the other hand, if you're the kind of person who enjoys starting with nothing and finish with a racing empire, then this title is not for you. The only glory you achieve in this game is winning races and tournaments; that's it.
