Race 07 is not what it claims to be, but it is only $19.99 at any major video game retailer. Unfortunately because of its low cost I have a feeling that this game won't go down in price in the next few months (and it should).

Purchasing Race 07 is the same as purchasing the director's cut of a movie you already have. If you're an impulse buyer then this is a great game (despite the fact that they lied about having 300 cars in it).

If on the other hand you're looking for a solid racing game then by all means stay away from Race 07. This game is nothing more then a time-filler. It is the kind of game you purchase while you wait for your favorite title to release in a couple of weeks. As a matter of fact, if you can get a couple of weeks use out of this game you're doing awesome.

Some titles to consider if you have your heart set on a racing game are Atari's Test Drive Unlimited, and if you're into damage, just about any racing title put out by Codemasters will do you justice more then this game. For example, TOCA Race Driver 3 has dozens of actual different cars, realistic damage, a great variety of tracks and by now it's probably the same price as this game.
