The more I've played Opposing Fronts the more I've loved it. Honestly, at first, I hated it (by comparison to the original). Yet for review purposes I had to play enough so I can write about it accurately. That right there did me a favor; now it is one of my favorite games.

When debating purchasing this game ask yourself this question: do I enjoy playing WWII RTSs? If the answer is YES or even a MAYBE then this is a must purchase for you. If you enjoy strategy and hate the zerg aspect of RTSs, then once again this is a game for you.

On the other hand, there have been so many WWII titles recently that you may just want a break from the genre, but when the mood returns do yourself a favor and check out Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts.

Note: This game is extremely detailed. It would take an entire book to go over all the features that this game offers. Multiple pages can be written on each unique unit (and there are dozens of them). This game has it all, yet at the same time is not overwhelming. It is easy to learn but extremely difficult to master.

Everything you do affects this game in some way. For instance, some units grouped together acquire certain bonuses. Also, deciding on what to upgrade and when to do it can alter the outcome of the game as well. Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts really offers hours upon hours of strategic warfare.
