Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts comes with not one, but two storyline campaigns. One campaign deals with the Nazis and the largest airborne assault ever - Operation Market
Garden.
The second campaign focuses on the famous British 2nd Army in the famous liberation of Caen. Weather you want to take it to the Nazis and make them pay for what they've done or if
for a change you want to see the fight from a German perspective, Opposing Fronts makes both options available.
German Perspective - Operation Market Garden
Can you say fast? Playing the German campaign is one sure way to find out. Them Nazis are fast, I guess they have to be in order to react to the airborne invasion.
In order to succeed in the German campaign you have to think "hit-and-run" strategy. Make use of your mobility or get used to restarting the map. Back up your guys with Luftwaffe
support or the good-old-fashioned propaganda and watch the tide turn your way, but whatever you do, make sure you're fast about it.
British Perspective - Liberation of Caen
"Ok lads, light 'em up cuz we going down" seems to be the theme around the British campaign. For being this bad ass offensive force you sure spend a lot of time in the trenches if
you play the British campaign.
The strategy behind the Brits is to "dig in" for the most part. Most of the British missions were around the strategy of capturing a corner of the map, and using your mobile
headquarters to hop around from zone to zone until you got enough time to dig in.
Once you get enough time to set up a defensive perimeter, in no time at all the German army will be devastated by your overpowered artillery. Enjoy bringing the map back to the
stone-age (everything crumples visually).
