The very first John Madden football game that I ever played was Madden '92. The graphics were not much to look at, the sound was not that impressive either, but when I was immersed playing it then I was having lots of fun and that made up for those little flaws.

Technology has improved a great deal since those days, and while football is still football, the Madden franchise has grown and progressed along with the history of the game itself. EA's latest football release, Madden NFL '08 is here and waiting to be tackled.

Now it's time for us to take a closer look at this release and see if this year's version is just a roster update for the most part, or if the game has any merit of its own. The 2008 football season has finally arrived and I am ready for action.
