As I said, the premise is what attracted me to this game, as it is not what you seem to find in every shooter. Most games avoid the ideas of Heaven and Hell, and even more so Angels and Demons. Well, maybe not so much demons, those are pretty common in games.

In Infernal, you play the part of an angel banished from heaven. You have been cast down to earth to live as any other human being, and had all your powers taken from you. This does not seem to be enough, as they send assassins to kill you. You have to fight your way out from what started as a quiet night having drinks with a friend.

A demon appears, and like many demons, he has a deal to make with you. He offers you power beyond that of a mortal, and some decently cool abilities. All he asks is that you come and work for him, and fight those who you once worked for. The decision isn’t a very hard one for you to make, and within just a few moments the power of hell consumes you. From here is where your adventure really begins.

He sends you on an unholy mission of revenge, revenge against a God who cast you down, stripped you of not only your powers, but your pride as well. Not that anyone in heaven cares about you any more, they all let you fall, and have accepted orders to kill you. Looks like the decision makes itself for you, that and evil powers seem pretty cool.
