Perhaps it’s just coincidence, but it seems that the video game community tends to follow up to the more successful movies at the box office with a video game of the same genre.
Warner Brothers’ new movie release 300 seems to be doing quite well at the box office, well enough to release a video game with the same title. First I would like to point out that Ancient Wars: Sparta has no relation to 300 at all, except for the desire to glorify those ancient legends.
Now let’s see if Ancient Wars: Sparta has what it takes to hold its own in the cut-throat world of RTS games. One thing is for certain: Playlogic’s new RTS takes us away from the over abundant WWII RTS perspective into the mystic world of legends and men and gods and ancient empires and great wars.
