Although Silent Hunter – Wolves of the Pacific is a new release, it is actually the 4th installment of this long lasting franchise.

The previous games focused on the European theatre, especially on the famous and deadly German U-Boats. Silent Hunter 4, although still in the midst of World War II, takes us to the waters of the Pacific, leaving the Germans and their U-Boats to battle it out for Atlantic supremacy.

The Axis is still the focus, only this time dealing with the naval powers of Japan rather than the Third Reich’s. Silent Hunter – Wolves of the Pacific offers us a much different perspective to a WWII game: from the commander of an American submarine.
