To be honest, if you are looking for a shootem-up with some replay value, The Punisher may be the game you are looking for. I am a big fan of the comic book, and the game is a decent representation of the comic book. Many of the villians in the game are from the comic book series as well like the Bushwhacker, the Gnucci family, the Russian Mercenaries, the Eternal Sun, and others. It's interesting the route that Volition chose with The Punisher. The story by Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmoti is true to it's roots in the comic book The negatives of the game include mediocre level design and mediocre graphics. The levels seem repetitive throughout. So much so that you're often wasting time looking for where next to go because one part of the game level looks exactly like the previous one. The simplistic graphics on the characters are in contrast to the wonderfully detaled characters in Half Life 2 and other recent games. E3 is coming up in less than a month. Usually there are literally hundreds of playable games on the floor. At that time, Microsoft is supposed to release information on their next-generation console, the Xenon. E3 is also a showcase for upcoming games for the computer in the next year. I hope that I'll be able to give a comprehensive report on the show. As we move further into 2005, more and more games will be released. This will be an exciting year for both console and PC, as the standard of graphics in games and consoles will bring a new era.
