My system for running this game has most of the latest parts you can purchase
on the market. There are faster graphics cards and faster CPUs available, of
course, but the system is fairly powerful, fully able to play Half Life 2 and
other released games to their full glory.I noticed no pauses during the game
with the test system, even when antialiasing and anisotropic filtering was enabled.
Playing the game on a S3 GammaChrome was an OK experience. I would not suggest
the card for the high-end system I tested it on, but not everyone has the 400-500
that a X800XT class card would cost.
