There have been a few games that have defined a genre in history. Super Mario Bros was THE action plat former for the original NES console. Tomb Raider was the first 3D action game that really took off with a female lead character. Command and Conquer defined what a Real Time Strategy game is all about. Resident Evil when it first appeared on the Playstation game console defined what Survival Horror was all about. The first game that really scared the pants off me was Resident Evil. It’s interesting how the first is almost always the best in terms of nostalgia. Each of these games has spawned numerous sequels and spin-offs that have sold millions of titles. Anyway, I think that’s enough reminiscing about old games likely older than many of the readers of this review and on to today’s game. Today Capcom has released the latest version of Resident Evil: Resident Evil 5 and that is the game on the slate today.
