Oh boy! Where do I start with this one?

Poor and piss-poor are the words that best describe this game's graphics and sound. If this game wasn't indeed hurried along and released early, then this is a great example of workers slacking on the job.

The voice acting in itself is not bad per say from the actor's performance. However, the way that the voices and the words were linked together is beyond terrible. The military chatter over the radio is the worst I've seen in a military game up to this point and that's saying a lot. I think that what Bohemia Interactive did was to get the voice actors to record their statements one word at a time so they can use the same word in multiple scenarios. While that probably saved them a lot of recording time in the long run, quality wise, and their project went to shit. The way that the words are linked together sounds horrible; the only reason why I haven't turned the sound off is so I can hear the gunshots and explosions. On the other hand, the little music available is not amazing but it is tolerable.

The game's graphics are not bad looking when you just explore and admire the vastness of the map. Yet, when I find myself in a firefight, especially during a night mission I find the graphics in poor shape. A military simulator that focuses on actual military strategy should not have all the visual glitches found in ARMA 2. Equipping a scoped rifle or the binoculars in order to examine your terrain should work flawlessly since much of the strategy behind the game is based on survival tactics as well as the element of surprise. Now, when you can't tell what's an enemy or just a tree branch due to the flickering of the graphics that takes away from both the visual aspect of the game as well as the gameplay. Even the characters have been rendered using old technology. The weapons are by far the best looking aspect to the entire game followed closely by other military assets such as tanks, choppers and even armored personnel carriers. The explosions look decent and the smoke caused by fire and explosions looks great. And the environment itself, if there are no glitches present, the environment does look good. It's just when you can't tell there's a tank in the distance because of a graphic flicker that I'm having problems with. However, the visual problems are nothing by comparison to the gameplay and controls issues.
