Not an overly long film but might have been for its time. The overall message of the movie is I suppose well intended but may have been a little one sided. Pick up the film and let me know. The comments in the movie are well paced and they actually have quite a bit to say about the whole movie and the scenes depicted in the movie. From opening credits to ending credits, I had a hard time not bothering the lady next to me on my flight with the laughter. I am sure if they looked at the screen and saw the movie when I was laughing they would have thought I was weird or at least a bit abnormal. After laughing at this one it was time for me to put in one of my all time favorite movies, be it remake or original. Night of the Living Dead.

Most know that the Night of the Living Dead is about zombies attacking the unknowing citizens. Blood, screaming, and running away are common elements of the movie and there are plenty of witty comments about what the zombies are thinking and what some of the people should have actually said. They do a good job of providing some great comic moments but let's face it, this movie was pretty funny in some points without a comedic voice in the background. Their comments did have me laughing from almost the first scene up and thru the credits. Again as in the previous movie you could always enjoy the movie without commentary but I recommend the commentary as it is not repetitive and is well thought out and seems to flow naturally with the movie. The comments never seemed to be forced although some did leave you wondering "WHAT!?"

The final DVD to be left in my wake was the Carnival of Souls. This classic movie was enjoyable to watch without the commentary but some of the commentary had me pausing the movie so I didn't miss the next one. I found myself reflecting back to the child hood days of MST3K and thinking "thank you for coming out with more of this style of comedy. Many fans of MST3K will enjoy these movies and the company seems to be coming out with a large amount of movies and genres to choose from. I normally wait for movies to come out on TV before seeing them and I am one to rarely by a DVD unless it fits me. Granted I was blessed at getting these for reviews but I will definitely be picking up some of these movies on my own cost as they are extremely funny and I enjoy the genre.
