As you have noticed under the 'Testing Parts' section of the review, the computer used to test Game Booster is for the most part state of the art (eventually I'm either going to need to upgrade my video card or get an identical one and bridge them together).
Even on my computer I have noticed a very slight difference when Game Booster was turned on. Just about every game ran anywhere from 1 to 5 frames per second faster with Game Booster activated. But Game Booster is not made for people who have state of the art computers. It's main function is to help all the people trying to run today's demanding PC games on older machines. When you're in the middle of a game, every single FPS counts. And, since Game Booster is free, why not use it? Downloading and installing it is a process that can be finished from start to finish in less than a minute and activating or deactivating Game Booster is just one mouse click away. I have 6 GB or RAM in my machine, and when I activate Game Booster I free up around 300 MB of that RAM. While that may not seem like a lot, imagine what 300 MB would do if your computer had only 1 GB or RAM; that actually adds up to 30% of your ram being dedicated to games instead of other programs. I'm really happy with Game Booster. I tell all my friends about it, and now, I'm also telling you. And did I mention that it is FREE? Even if you don't like the program you're not out any money; all you have to do is take a few seconds and uninstall the program (although I doubt it that you will).
Score: A
Note: The faster and the more up-to-date your PC components are, the less of a noticeable difference Game Booster will make. |
