Five for the price of one. The Campaign Mode in Grand Ages - Rome is where the storyline takes place.
When first starting a new campaign you are required to create a character associated with that particular campaign. There are five distinguished Roman families and you must select the faction that you want to represent.
While the sex of your character does not affect game play at all, each of the five Roman families have attributes that make playing with that particular faction an unique experience. As for the rest of the story, you are greatly responsible for the way that you shape things. As you progress through the story certain missions become available. Each mission is sponsored by one of the 5 great Roman families. Completing missions for one family brings you closer towards them while it pushes you further away from some (or all) of the other families. But in general, the story very basic in each mission. You have to maintain a functioning city while usually performing some kind of military act. Get ready to meet some of Rome's most notable figures. On you missions you will meet people like Julius Caesar, Pompeii, Marc Anthony, Cleopatra amongst others. Divide and conquer; which side will you take?
