I have seen some poorly-put-together games but Dark Horizon puts them all to shame. If there was a video game Hall-of-Shame this game would definitely be inaugurated into it.

The game has an amazing storyline, above average sound and decent graphics but all of that do not make a single difference considering that the gameplay and the controls are so terrible that I personally find the game unplayable.

The first embarrassment for this game is the fact that it is a space flight game and it does not support joystick controls despite the fact that Paradox Interactive claims that it does. Since you're forced to play with mouse and keyboard half of the fun of the game is already diminished and for people who are not the best pilots using a mouse this game is a total nightmare. I even find it particularly sad that the only screenshots on the game box are from the first two missions. Could the programmers themselves not get past the second mission? I sure as hell could not. While there might be some people who will do well in this game, that number will be extremely limited. At least the game is only twenty bucks so if you want to take a gamble and you end up hating the game just as I do, at least you haven't wasted forty or fifty bucks. I just can't believe that something with this much potential was put together so badly. This is a perfect example of a gaming company trying to make a buck at the expense of the gamers. Shame on you Paradox; shame on you.
