If it was not for Soldak Entertainment's marketing team, Depths of Peril would have been one of the games released this holiday season that I would have missed.

The last few months have seen the release of dozens upon dozens of new video games, all trying to compete for that perfect Christmas gift. Some of the games have been highly advertised while others relied only on luck and the word of moth for their advertisement.

For example, 2K Sports' NBA 2k9 was and still is one of the games with a lot of advertisement behind its back. I fell for that advertisement and after spending 60 bucks on the game I managed to get 20 dollars back on a trade-in value. I'm actually amazed that GameStop was willing to take back a game that bad. Soldak Entertainment's Depths of Peril is a game that brand new sells for 20 dollars. While we were brainwashed into thinking that everything cheep is not worth a purchase, lately it seems that the cheep games are actually much, much better than the overpriced big-name budgeted games. Just to give you an example, Flatout - Ultimate Carnage was a 20 dollar game, and in my opinion it was one of the best racing games that I've ever seen. That is another reason why I think that the Video Game Awards were rigged. Some of this year's best products were not nominated; they were not even mentioned. Therefore I am full of hope when it comes to reviewing Depths of Peril. I don't know much about the game at all. I know that it is an RPG (role-playing-game) and that there are factions that fight for domination of a barbarian city. I like RPGs and I like to dominate other factions, so I'll get back to y'all once I have some accurate facts to share.
