It is really hard to comment on the worth of a sports game, especially when it is made by EA.

If you’re a hardcore fan of the sport odds are that you will purchase the game anyhow. And this will be the same with FIFA Soccer 09. The hardcore soccer fans will almost certainly acquire this game with little concert of what the game really offers, and in EA’s case, unless you purchase the current title each year you won’t be able to play online. That’s right! EA takes down the current online servers whenever their new title comes out, so good luck playing this game online in a year from now. So the real question is how you feel about soccer, EA, fifty bucks and a game that for the most part expires in a year. I gave you all the info in the review, but the final decision is entirely up to you.

Note: After completing this review I actually stumbled across a misspelled word on EA’s FIFA 09 game-box. Under video requirements instead of spelling shader with an r, EA has spelled it shadel. That is strait up embarrassing. How can EA earn the respect of gamers when they can’t even spell their game’s system requirements correctly? Think about that one EA before you claim that all your misfortunes are caused by pirates.
