There are not many times when I go video game shopping and walk out of a store empty handed. To my surprise, that was the case about ten days ago when I looked at a copy of Flat Out 2.

I am a big fan of the Flat Out series, so I was in shock that I did not pick up the PC version of my favorite PSP racing title. As it turns out, I was in luck. Flat Out – Ultimate Carnage is actually released for the PC as well; for a while it has been rumored that only the X-Box version would be released.

So, as it turns out, with my morning coffee and a browse through the new release video game section, I stumble across something that I hope to be a treasure: Flat Out – Ultimate Carnage for the PC. Release and availability are two different stories, and after a few phone calls, I finally ran across a store that actually carried a copy. It is a shame that because of limited shelf room, so many of the cheaper games are ignored. Maximizing profit is the way to go after all. Flat Out – Ultimate carnage is only $19.99, but if the game is anything like its PSP predecessor, I will almost certainly fall in love with it instantly; I might even consider it my new favorite racing game. Hey! I can only hope.
