I blame the media! That’s right; I blame the media for making graphically-challenged games unpopular.

Even I got carried away with the hype about the quality of graphics and sound in games, that I started forgetting about the classics; I’m also guilty of ignoring some of the less popular titles. Realizing my mistake, I decided to remedy the situation.

My adventures took me to Best Buy, where I ended up making two game purchases. One of them was 101 Puppy Pets (almost certainly a kids game), and the second was Card Games Collection. They were each $9.99; yes, apparently not all new releases have to be in the fifty dollar range. Today I will focus on Card Games Collection.

I have to admit that it has been a very long time since I have last played cards. It has been even longer since I’ve indulged myself to some video card games. I’ve been burned out on solitaire for the last couple of years (Microsoft really has to come up with some new games for Windows), but I sure miss poker and Texas Hold ‘Em. So for roughly ten dollars I get to play all the poker I want along with apparently over 200 other card games. On the surface that sounds like an awesome deal, but at the same time I’m weary of ten dollar games, especially when they are new releases. But now I’m wasting precious gambling time; see ya’ll on in a few hours.
