Depending on how you feel about button mashing, you may either love or absolutely hate this game.

A lot of button mashing does not even begin to describe this game. A lot of excessive button mashing would be more on the right track. As a matter of fact, just about everything depends on button mashing; the faster the mashing, the faster your athlete. Singleplayer and multiplayer both focus on the same events and the same button mashing, only that in multiplayer you actually get to battle another fellow button masher instead on the game’s AI. If you don’t think you have what it takes to be the Olympics’ hot shot, practice the events in the training section and move on when you’re ready.

Most of the games focus on a combination of two buttons being pressed alternately. In running for instance, the faster you alternate pressing the two buttons, the faster your athlete runs. There are some events that are free of button mashing. The shooting events are all about aiming and firing at the ideal moment instead of the button mashing concept. Archery is another button mashing free event. Some events, take parallel bars as an example, require a combination of button mashing as well as button combo pressing. The finishing sequence on the parallel bars requires pressing 4 buttons in the appropriate order for your athlete to perform a great landing. Miss all buttons and your athlete stumbles and falls.

But I know that this is the part that y’all are waiting for the listing of the events. I hope I got them all.
