I am sure that most of you are very familiar with the sticker or label on many of the products you own: “Made in China.”
As the 2008 Olympic Games were nearing, a good chunk of the word’s population said “China?” when they finally found out where the Olympics will be held this year; in Beijing. That’s true; just a couple of days ago the Olympic ceremonies kicked off … China is hosting the 2008 games.
Personally, I don’t really care on what part of the globe the Olympics take place as long as they do. Honestly, I also want to see the games take place more often than every four years, but I know that they won’t change the rules just for me. But anyhow, SEGA and Eurocom have given us a way to enjoy the 2008 Olympic Games whenever we want to; all we have to do is play their new sports release: Beijing 2008. I wonder if they will have cross-country skiing? Just kidding. Even I know better. I am looking forward to the supposed 30+ events featured in this game, but at the same time I can’t help but wander if a game featuring over thirty sporting events can manage to pull it off right. The Madden football series is in its 20th year, and after all this time, they still haven’t gotten it all perfect. Can SEGA manage to create sports games the right way? Only one way to find out …
