Richard M. Nixon

"A man is not finished when he's defeated; he's finished when he quits."

Ronald Reagan

"The best minds are not in government. If any were, business would hire them away."

John F. Kennedy

"I am certain that after the dust of centuries has passed over our cities, we, too, will be remembered not for victories or defeats in battle or in politics, but for our contribution to the human spirit."

Calvin Coolidge

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave."

Stardock's latest release, The Political Machines 2008 is one of (if not the only) political games released in concern to the current election of this great nation (the U.S.). What most will take as another political joke, some will take to heart. Politics is not just found in government; it is a part of all of us. It is the fire that lights up our hopes; our hopes of change and with luck, a better tomorrow. And in this latest release by a company that mostly focuses on Sci-Fi, we can take our favorite politician (or our own person and design) to the White House (if you can beat the game). Yes! The game is politics, but do you have what it takes to land your candidate the most prestigious office of this country, possibly the world? I know who my candidate will be: Willie Nelson. That's right. I'm from Texas and every election there is a joke about writing him in on the ballot. Well thanks to Stardock, I can finally find out if Willie (technically me) has what it takes.
